Rukus ft Soulbrotha – I’m Nigerian

Posted on February 23rd, 2009 by Mola OG

WHOA!
First of all you don’t have a choice but to move when the actual song begins (30 seconds after you press play), your body will just respond to the feel of the track. I think, the combination of the content, delivery and beat is what elicits the emotion that causes your body to do what it will do.

Rukus and Soulbrotha came hard on this one. *PAUSE* … Song was produced by Kid Konnect who did a great job… Solid track!

Listen, enjoy and feel free to state your thoughts

Eh.

First of all, ain’t nothing tougher than Nigerian hair. That was the original koko, before D’banj turned it into an R-rated reference, back when we used to talk about “coco waves.”

Second, holy shit, the song is wack. Can we all stop pretending that these “hard” beats are still interesting? 1992 called, they want their Naughty By Nature and early Redman (”Time 4 Sum Aksion”) CDs back. It’s noisy. For a music video it’d need one of those “rowdy crowdy” setups where everyone’s jumping and shoving for no good reason – you know, a Negro mosh pit. Yeah, Onyx’s lawyers called to enforce their monopoly on pointlessly hyperkinetic beats, rhymes and videos, citing “Slam” as prior art.

A couple nice punchlines. That’s it.

Okay, so 1992 called, and so did Onyx’s lawyers.. anyone else you wanna let us know about? *rolls eyes*

If you’re gonna make a negative critique about something, at least try to be serious, instead of using tired, pseudo-clever lines.. they’re a lame attempt at wit, and as a result, will not help you to be taken seriously.

Anyways, the song is hot. The beat makes my yansh shake automatically and I just love Rukus and KK! <3
