The Playbuoy – Your Love ft Terry G

Posted on March 10th, 2009 by Ovie O

Another Terry G-induced banger! Turning attention away from the hitmaker (if only for a second), The Playbuoy a.k.a Playbuoy Xtreem originates from Imo state, Nigeria, and was introduced to the mainstream in 2006 with a video to his very first single titled “We’ve got the game” which featured 2shotz and was directed by Ace video/film maker DJ Tee.

His debut album “Welcome To Playtown” drops sometime this year. Tracks in the album were produced by I.D Cabasa, T.frizzle, Kash 11, Foster Zeeno. The Playbuoy is currently running his record label (Gang Band-ITS Entertainment) under which his album will drop.

I wonder how much Terry G charges the artists to cook up almost guaranteed hits.

Terry G is owambe hip hop eh? No wonder I tend to like his stuff. But, this track I am not feeling. I actually just heard it but shut it off less than a music into it. I am about to do the same thing here. Will wait for more from Playbouy.

Mr. Terry G has changed his style of bit making a lil bit..still the same thing but thurrs a lil difference.
Maybe we’ll hear something different in the next season.I guess he’s making alotta money from this.
this guy kinda reminds me of d’prince.
Terry G just took over this song..I don’t evn remeber hearing Playbuoy on this.

My only beef with Terry G’s production is the fact that it nearly always lacks a bass-line….still cant figure why.

Its true terry G’s brand of production is unidirectional and monotonous….and I will tag it OWAMBE hiphop….dats his trademark…..

I wouldnt advice him to switch his style cos its a winning strategy…cos we can all see all da hits he is responsible for…

nice song….decent effort, though….cos it could be done differently….

keep repping, playbouy…..

Terry G doesn’t have to switch his style, but I’m sure he’s talented enough to keep his signature, yet give something different on the beats. Versatility never hurt anybody.
