Kel ft Alaye & MayD – Too Fine
Posted on June 2nd, 2009 by Mola OGKel is slowly becoming the most relevant female emcee in Naija (yeah I said it), her consistency is very commendable.
Here is the new single off her debut album ‘The Investment’ featuring MayD and Alaye which finally drops on 6/22/09.
Big Shout out Osagie

l gadu this like mad.
*** I meant ‘Female’ rappers.
Naija rappers are trying, but (& this is a ‘big’ but), they don’t sound real. We need one that would be less artificial and more like Ajasa or Nigga raw.
Sit down, burn some ‘erb and look inwards. Ask yourself; is this me?
really nice…but kel’s first rap verse was off…for the song, NO WAY! it didn’t blend in. she’s trying 2 hard 2 sound tough!
d chorus was really cool though!
NICE JOB!
OmD and this pic does it again, Guitar?, boots? seriously???
LWKMD!
Yeah the voice, just like ezzie. hmmm. anyhow. Kel is still one of my favs. Kel kinda reminds me of Queen Latifah.
Lovely production. I’m really feelin May D and Alaye.
TY Mix Is crazy sick Beat ….
All honest critique are appreciated & will only make Kel work harder… but all in all i think she’s done alot for herself, she has really improved & become more & more relevant over the years.
Keep working hard & the best is yet to come from all ur hustle…
the girl’s hustle is top notch but her accent is fake and i suspect it is tiring for her.the earlier she drops it, the better.then her flow will be natural.
Have u met her before??????????
Don’t agree with u on the accent thingy….
@KK….HABA!!
“Kel is slowly becoming the most relevant female emcee in Naija…”
Oguns-baba! I owe u 2 bottles of Star when I see u in ATL next wkend. lol. The term “relevant” couldn’t be more appropriate. It’s clear for all to see that she’s working hard at perfecting her craft, and with such work ethic, the sky can only be her springboard. Sharing studio time with a variety of top artistes can only broaden your own artistic scope.
My only problem with her is that it seems she’s putting a lil too much effort in her word pronunciation. (maybe she’s trying too hard?)
While she may not necessarily be the best right now, with a tad bit more polishing (a delivery with slightly less effort), she DEFINITELY has a genuine shot at Sasha’s crown (yeah, Sasha!) Like I said on a previous thread, I’ll be listening to her album over a long spell, and critiquing it like I would a Mode9 or a Naeto C album. If she wants to be the King (or Queen) of the jungle, she must fight with the Tigers and the Elephants.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed on that…
agree slightly..
