Annette Cookey – Ife Mi

Posted on September 3rd, 2009 by Ovie O

Introducing Annette Cookey!

She was a participant at the 2008 Project Fame West Africa competition, and this is her debut single. The Rivers State-born singer is also a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt.

To the song itself, I’m loving her voice. She definitely sounds fresh to me, and if she can stretch herself a little more in terms of her vocal range, then I think we’ll be witnessing something special in her. She gets my vote. Does she get yours?

*O.O*

Annette

Produced by Tee-Y Mix.

Lil Sis, great one. am so proud of ya…and for the records, every great singer writes and sings a song like a u’ll build a house, brick by brick, u lay a foundation and take off to the pinaccle of a skyscrapper. Her start off is right on point and the rest of the song builds to a high. Y’all get it now? Much Luv people

That’s what I’m talking about! Overall she did an AMAZING job… From beginning to the end… This is a true definition of R&B joint… Unlike these other chicks trying to sing! Annette knows what she’s doing! Don’t need to stretch NOTHING!

NOTE to others: U Never give it your all in the FIRST VERSE when it comes to R&B!!

Insane production. She gets my vote as well, she did seem like she was holding back some on the first verse, but did let go after the first chorus. Nice.
