Alaye ft Notorious B.I.G – Can’t Stop the Reign
Posted on November 13th, 2009 by Mola OGHere is a new offereing from the ‘Undeniable’ mixtape by Alaye hosted by Tim Westwood. Now, before you jump and say ‘how is it possible, I thought Biggie was dead’, know that this is a mixtape track and the biggie vocals were on the the original version of the ‘Can’t Stop the Reign’ track with Shaq which was recorded in 1997 (I had to say that for the non hip-hop heads).
“Alaye is back with the “Undeniable” mixtape hosted by the legendaryhip-hop Uk DJ, Tim Westwood. This Mixtape is a compilation of mixtape tracks and original songs that featured on mixtape’s released on the streets of London between 2005 and 2007. It features remakes of popular hits like, Damian Marley’s “Welcome To Jamrock”, Kanye West’s “Diamonds” & Tony Yayo’s “So Seductive”.
It also features “Mind My Creps” which was a massive track in the UK so big that it appeared alongside tracks from hip hop heavyweights such as Kanye West & 50 Cent on the Def Jam released album from Tim Westwood titled “The Greatest Hip Hop of 2006, the album went Platinum. The video for “Mind My Creps” was released in Africa in 2007 along with the the video to the Garage track “Can i get a” which was filmed on a yacht in South Africa way before everyone started going to SA to shoot their videos. Alaye has always been an artist that is ahead of his time.
Alaye became popular in Africa due to his collaboration on the monster hit “Temptation” with P-Square. He Is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album, ” Flight”. The 1st Single, “Excuse Me”, which features 9ice is currently enjoying massive airplay.“

This is quite nice. Having a Notorious BIG on your track also helps.
