World Premiere: Ikechukwu Drops 3 Singles

Posted on December 16th, 2009 by Ovie O

Killz is BACK!!!

Ikechukwu, who was formerly a part of the highly-successful Storm Records label, switched allegiance to the equally successful Mo Hits Records (don’t ask me why). He previously pulled off a real coup with the single “Wind Am Well” featuring Don Jazzy topping charts across Africa. Now that he’s gone full-time with Mr. Jazzy and the Mo hits crew, can they replicate the success? I wouldn’t bet against it.

After releasing a relatively low-key album a while back, Killz has gone back to the drawing in a bid to churn out what should be a solid comeback album titled “The Alliance” and this is expected to drop sometime in 2010.

Here are 3 fresh singles off The Alliance; the first titled Critical featuring D’Banj, the 2nd, a solid Igbo tune alongside Don Baba Jay, and the 3rd joint, It’s All On Me, where he goes full hiphop. All 3 songs are expected to hit the radio in a bit. Let us know your thoughts…

Side-note: With Naeto C and Ikechukwu still both repping WFA, who really owns it?

Naeto C did open doors for Ikchukwu who introduced him to Storm? Storm is the only reason Ikechukwu is not in a one room apartment broke as hell or even in jail. This is poor from Ikechukwu, there is no way he would put a good album out with only Don Jazzy productions hes a rapper Don Jazys an afro beat producer, to me leaving Storm was a mistake.

and Ikechukwu remains wack…

I love the songs though! Don Jazzy did good in “Now is the time” (i cant get that beat/chorus outta my head) and you’ve just gotta love the energy of “Critical”. I like “It’s all on me”s beat, but the song itself… meh.
