Leak: M.I ft Tuface – Nobody

Posted on February 25th, 2010 by Mola OG

This is a premature leak of one of the lead singles off M.I’s MI2 album which is due out later on in 2010 and if you recall, Ovie posted a snippet/mix of ‘Nobody’ the other day.

Look, this is nothing but beautiful and world class music; the instrumental, content and hook are all FIYA. Tuface brought it HARD on this track with the hook, bridge and a fire verse. M.I as always spits some serious game about his experiences in a way we can all relate to. Solid and Classic Joint!

This exclusive version has 2face on the 3rd verse, but there’s another M.I verse on the final edit which will appear on the M.I 2 album. Enjoy this… till then!

If nobody talk about you/then you are nobody/whether na true dem talk or na lie/my guy walahi…

Official Leak: M.I – God Bless You + Nobody ft 2face (Exclusive Teaser)

Posted on February 14th, 2010 by Ovie O

Happy Valentine’s Day to all lovers out there! About a week or 2 ago, M.I’s song “God Bless You” was leaked online. For this reason, M.I has chosen to put it out as a Valentine’s Day treat to everyone. However, he promises to make alterations to the track due to the unfortunate leak (it was only meant to be an album cut). So, expect to hear something slightly different when M.I 2 drops.

“God Bless You” will be changed for the album due to the leak… It is the first thing i recorded for MI2.. Before “Somebody Wants To Die”… It took about an hour to make… Mixed, Produced, Sung and Mastered by moi!!!M.I

God Bless You

Here’s an exclusive teaser for all notjustOk readers out there. If you recall, on the “Somebody Wants To Die” post last August, I told y’all M.I was “at the studio with 2face.” Here’s a sample of what they finally belted out. Believe me, the full song is on the same level as “Street Credibility” or any other heavyweight collabo that has come out of Naija in recent times. Stay tuned… more from M.I 2 coming soon!

Here’s another edition of the notjustOk Select-10; the first for the year 2010. It’s almost unbelievable to think that the month of January has come and gone so fast. However, if you haven’t started hitting the dizzy heights you expect for 2010, no worries; there’s another 11 months left.

The month of December brought us huge drops from music heavyweigths 9ice, 2face Idibia, eLDee and Modenine, as well as R & B kings Styl-Plus and Darey. Please, feel free to download December’s buzz tracks released here on the site using the “DOWNLOAD” link below.

notjustOk select is not a Top 10 list of any kind and there is no underlying reason why one song is listed before the other; there is no first or last.

notjustOk Select – 10 is a list of ten songs/posts that have made a major impact on the listeners/readers in a given month. Several factors come into determining how big of an impact a single post made in a given month, such as page views, record breaking amount of comments and constant mp3 request for the specific song. In addition to spotlighting the select 10s, we will provide a DOWNLOAD link so that you can save the mp3s.

The download link will be up for 3 DAYS ONLY! after which it will be deleted/deactivated!

Super Eagles Inspirational Song – Guinness “Power of Naija”

Posted on January 25th, 2010 by Mola OG

It is only right that this song came in today after our Victory over Zambia in the African Cup of Nations. Next up is Ghana in the Semi finals and I am optimistic that we will beat them and at least play in the finals. I am mostly looking forward to our performance in the world cup later on this year. Bring the Nations cup home Super Eagles and fire Amodu before the World Cup training kicks off. Should Amodu stay or be fired?

Here is the “Power of Naija” (Guinness Official Super Eagles Theme Song) which was performed by Omawumi, Tuface and Cobhams

Solid production and Quality song… This song makes too much sense; it triggers all the right emotions to motivate both the players and fans to want to achieve VICTORY.

Here’s another track off Black Tribe’s brand new album titled “Addicted.” The album was officially released on December 7th and it features the previously posted song “Trusted Friend” along with collaborations with 2face (this song) and Timaya.

It’s a good come-back album from the veteran duo. Go cop it!

New music from 2face Idibia; this is the lead single off his upcoming album tentatively called ‘Unstoppable 2‘ set to be released in 2010.

The Implication Video has been shot and should be out shortly. A good first single! Listen and let me know your thoughts.

Rymzo ft 2face Idibia – Salute Jah + Owigiri

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by Ovie O

Brand new tune from Reggae artiste, Rymzo. He’s a Benin boy who’s been on his grind for some years now. I still recall the intro to one of his previous albums “Hey Junior!” Funny stuff!

But back to the song itself, “Salute Jah” features living legend 2face, and when that happens, you already know what to expect from the track. I dunno about you but I’m loving the reggae feel to it. They both brought it (in my opinion oh!). Have a listen…

notjustOk Select-10 (September ‘09)

Posted on October 31st, 2009 by Ovie O

Here’s another edition of the Select-10s. The month of September brought alot of controversy, as well as the emergence of some talented US and UK-based Naija artistes. Their dominance on the list shows evidence of growth in the industry in diaspora. Will we eventually have a competitive music market outside the shores of Nigeria? Only time will tell. Till then, help yourselves with a free download below.

Once again, we take pains to stress the fact that the notjustOk select is not a Top 10 list of any kind and there is no underlying reason why one song is listed before the other; there is no first or last.

Lineo ft 2face – Feel It (Efi Yen Le)

Posted on October 26th, 2009 by Mola OG

New Comer Lineo (Legend Indeed Now Extra Ordinary) is from Lagos and is the 40th child for his father who had 12 wives. He is currently signed to his own label Game Time Records.

Good Track! The hook is quite catchy and it will get you moving for sure. 2baba is just a genius in the game, he kills every track he gets on; never dullin!
