June 2010 was a lovely month for Nigerian music on an international platform; P Square and M.I were nominated and present at the BET awards held in L.A, California.

Here are the 10 tracks that appeared to be the most popular in June based on the criteria below. X.O got everyone saluting and talking after hearing his Victory track, Bracket dropped a remix for their already powerful single Yori Yori, an album leak which featured M.I off 2face’s new album dropped, Mo’Cheddah refreshed our excitement about her up coming album, Jahborne released a new single alongside Zara, YQ released a new video off his I AM YQ album, A1 sang to his college sweetheart (lovely track), Timi re-surfaced and told us where he had been, Onome Ovwori dropped a well composed patriotic song and we hyped AJUJU.

Ajuju, who just recently dropped his album ” No 1″ is out with a new single. It features Dagrin and you should know what to expect when Dagrin is on a track. Ajuju on the other hand was on point as usual! With his distinctively unique voice and sound, he’s making a statement to the Nigerian music public that he’s here to stay. Exactly what the Industry needs; Hardworking artistes that won’t disappoint us home and abroad

Listening to this song makes one feel like Dagrin is back! As original as anything i have ever heard in my lifetime. It just feels good to see new works from our beloved deceased rapper. What do you think?

Ajuju has decided to release a 2nd video from his ‘No 1‘ album. This one features Jesse Jagz who also has an album out right now.

Ajuju’s No 1 album will soon be available for purchase on notjustOk.com.

Here is the video for ‘Fall In Love‘ which Ovie posted (audio) a few weeks ago.

I had the opportunity to listen to Ajuju’s album, “No 1” which is currently out on the streets in Nigeria. To say the least, I was very impressed with a number of tracks especially track 8 ‘Ebgbuna Oge (Valentine)‘; it will make a perfect song for weddings in Nigeria!

The album, ‘No 1‘ by Ajuju will be available for purchase on notjustOk before the end of May 2010.

Another single from Ajuju, the guy who laced the hit tune, Pass Me The Mic, alongside Jesse Jagz. It looks like an album, No 1 Fan, has been released (not confirmed yet). I’ll be looking to purchase my own copy if it’s indeed out already. Till then, enjoy this beautiful track even D’Banj, the original “Fall In Love” master would be proud of. However, the similarity between D’Banj’s “Fall In Love” and Ajuju’s song doesn’t go beyond the titles.

On this song, Ajuju is singing to a girl he was eyeing but she ended up heading to the US. Now, in addition to hustling to join her abroad, he’s assuring her that he and all his folks back home will “fall in love” with her… including aprokos and amebos (In yoruba, I believe the word is “olofofo”). With effective promotion, this song could become a massive hit!

I’d like to make a special case for Dr. Frabz. This dude can switch from a regular hiphop beat to a simple R’n'B production, and then hit us with one of those “owambe-type” beats. If he isn’t the best, he’s definitely top 3!
