For those who listened to Orun Nile and were quite impressed by the unknown talent called Bounty, well, here he is again! He’s currently “affiliated” with Tuface’s Hypertek Records. Both songs may not be as good as the notjustOk readers’ favorite, Orun Nile, but I think they’re nice, all d same.
There’s a rumor going around that Hypertek is about to (or has already) shut down. I got confirmation from the camp, and the answer is… “for now, yes!”
I noticed that on the last notjustOk Select post someone felt some kind of way about the songs selected. So I will make this bold, notjustOk select is not a Top 10 list of any kind and there is no underlying reason why one song is listed before the other; there is no first or last.
notjustOk Select – 10 is a list of ten songs/posts that have made a major impact on the listeners/readers in a given month. Several factors come into determining how big of an impact a single post made in a given month, such as page views, record breaking amount of comments and constant mp3 request for the specific song. In addition to spotlighting the select 10s, we will provide a download link so that you can save the mp3s.
June was the month of the female rappers; Sasha came with her new single ‘Gidi Babe’, Kel blessed us with a new joint off her upcoming album followed by its video and Zara dropped the ‘Su Mo Bi’ track. Enjoy!
DJ Spin’all, a proud member of the Naija DJs Coalition, RayPower 100.5FM and Eko FM, has just slipped this song to the fam. As is the norm, he’s planning to release a mixtape involving various Nigerian stars. Here’s a fresh single off it.
It’s a feel good song that should appeal to a wider audience. I love it!
