Lami released her album ‘Intuition’ back in November of 2009 and I can confidently say that the album is a solid crossover album and it touches damn near all the popular genres of music.
Here are her 2 new singles. ‘Ere Ife‘ is a playful exchange between a man and woman encouraging each other to head home so that they can both partake in the game of love, while ‘Over‘ is a mature R&B tune which has a KEM sound to it.
Here is a snippet for L’Ami’s debut Video for Nuttin (song was originally named Nutin Do You ). She is looking beautiful as always and the video is looking good too, but I don’t know, I have a problem with the spelling of her name as petty as it sounds. I think they need to change it to ‘L’AMI’ as opposed to how they have it spelt in the beginning ‘LAMI’ just my 2 cents; it gives an extra edge to the name.
Expect nothing but good music from her upcoming album which should be out soon. Lucci was not able to make the video shoot, he was out of the country and that’s IKON, the producer in the sunglasses.
notjustOk hype will feature (or may be not) the future heavy hitters
in naija music. Any material featured in this category will be from
unsigned Nigerian/African, artists/rappers/producer/record label that
contain nothing but promising content. There will only be a post a
month in this category.
If you have or know of anyone’s music that you feel is a hit or any good, please send an email to notjustokmusic with a link to their page or where I can download the song. ***If you can email me the song, please be sure to zip it first before sending it as an attachment***
Another lovely song from L’Ami. This one is grown and melow music; the kind of song you can listen to with your significant other while staring him/her in their eyes slowly uttering “You Know what to do…. you know everyTin”
Another single from L’Ami, this one makes your body move involuntarily. She is currently recording more songs with production from Cabassa and Frabz for her debut album which should be out in less than a month.
L’Ami is a new comer to the naija music scene, if you reside in Lagos and you happened to be at the Silverbird Galleria show with M.I in March, you may have caught her performance. I would categorize her music style somewhere within R&B/Soul/Pop.
Her debut album, ‘Intuition’ is set to be released in May. The producers on the album include M.I, IKON and OJB.
Personally I like this song for several reasons, but I will mention 2 reasons; it has a message and the sound is quite unique for naija, but let me know your thoughts…
