CartiAir, the chief architect of one of the biggest hiphop songs of 2009, Owo Ati Swagger, has finally released his debut album titled “More Than Just Rap Music” and many industry insiders tip him to make a bigger impact in 2010. The album is a 20-tracker which features the likes of 2face Idibia, Da Grin, Sound Sultan, Eva, Terry Tha Rapman, Ella, Gino, Knighthouse, among others.

CartiAir, who lived in New York for a long time, moved back to Nigeria to continue the hiphop hustle and to also attend College (Igbinedion University). Today, that big move is seriously paying off. He’s not only lyrically strong, but his flows are also on point! He also gets beat blessings from hot-shot producers, Jay Sleek, Sossick, Mic-On, Spanky, as well as other producers of note.

CartiAir’s debut album “More Than Just Rap Music” will be made available for purchase right here at our local notjustOk Shop this weekend at a special discount price for a very limited time only (7 days!). If you’re in Nigeria, go ask your nearest retailer for your copy.

Here’s the video for a previously posted joint that has quickly become a hiphop anthem in Gidi. The joint features Da Grin, Eva, Terry Tha Rapman and Gino on a Jay Sleek production. Video directed by Clarence Peters.

Rapper CartiAir is not a new face here on notjustOk. A couple of weeks ago, I posted the audio version of this song, and here’s the video. Gotta love this one! Apart from the fact that he brought in sexy rappers like Mo Cheddah, Kel and Blaise (yeah! Blaise), the video clarity and depth is nothing short of fantastic! He didn’t have to do too much to keep you glued to it.

Here are a pair of new singles from CartiAir; the rapper behind the Lagos club hit single, Owo Ati Swagger. I must say I’m a fan of this dude, simply ‘cos he sounds like no other rapper I know, and still delivers solid flows.
