Here is the video of Plantain Boy by Timaya which was premiered on notjustOk a while back, prior to the release of ‘The Rebirth‘ album. I love this video both for its quality and how they captured the market setting.

Timaya had planned to release a single a while back but the loss of his father halted things, if only for a lil bit (our condolences).

Some may say he’s sticking to his somewhat self-appraisal style of music, but to me, he’s saying inspite of his wealth or status, he’s still the same ‘ol Timaya – the plantain seller. I love this!
