Here is a new song from Cobe Obeah which will appear on his ‘Song Of the Starz‘ mixtape due out in April of 2010. He raps over Cold Play’s ‘Lost‘ instrumental and it sounds like he does the hook too.
You can tell Cobe embraces music period; he is not stuck on rapping over only a gritty beat or a hip-hop instrumental. I am definitely looking forward to his mixTape
Blak Jesus aka the Bomdigity in the house appears to be taking music quite seriously. This is a snippet of the full song; listen and give your thoughts. Good song; even though I have not listened to the full track yet.
Here is the video for Sasha’s ‘Making Money‘ remix, that everyone has been longing to watch after seeing a snippet on the original video. They all brought the right amount of energy to the video… LOL @ Sinzu’s continuous ‘Put your hands in the air‘ chant which surprisingly makes the song sound better.
No word yet on when Sasha’s album will drop, but I am sure it will be sooner than later.
Directed by Bobby ‘Big Budget’ Boulders who appears at the 0:57 mark.
New Video from Obiwon for his lead single off the ‘The Rebirth’ Album ft M.I,ILLBLISS,BLAISE and GUCHI. A very well done video and it looks like they used some footage from iLLBliss’ wedding.
Expect the video for ‘Birthday’ in a few days. Also, if you have not picked your copy of Obiwon’s ‘The Rebirth’ Album, go and get it NOW!
Here is the video for the previously posted Sotey (Remix) by The Pulse (StarQuest 2009 Winners) which features Busta Rhymes. Kennis Music is grinding hard right about now; they are flooding the market with good music. Inspirational track!!!
… and ofcourse the video was Directed by Clarence Peters
“The Pulse, the music band made up of six talented youngsters: Dubem Ochokwu (band leader), Obianuju Udeh, Babatunde Omommeji, Moses Philips, Charles Nkamiang and Asuquo Okon, became the 2009 winners of Star Quest, the music talent hunt programme sponsored by Star lager.” allafrica.com
The Pulse is now signed to Kennis music. Nice song, Busta meshed his lyrics well into this inspirational track. The video for the remix is ready and should be out in a few weeks.
Unofficial remix of course, but the Afrigang boyz did some justice to the track. Expect The FiX from Iceberg Slim (Dec 25) and donwload The Treatment from Rico White.
Here’s a remix to M.I’s popular tune “Hustle” and it features UK-based rap group, SAS.
The hardworking rapper, M.I, has already wrapped up a new mixtape, M.I 2 – The Mixtape, and we’ll be bringing it to you exclusively on notjustOk.com sometime in December (unless he changes his mind on the release date). M.I’s also contemplating putting out a limited release version of “Talk About It” with Remixes (I’m sure that’s where this track would come in).
*O.O*
M.I: They (SAS) recorded their version and sent me the vocals on one track with the beat.. So i had to eq the beat out.. And produce over it.. So u can hear it in the background… Just a lil trivia…”
“Dougie Stryfe and FC Da Blessing, make up the U.S. based group, who have been performing and recording together for the past four years. With music that’s a potent blend of mesmerizing beats, incredible melodies, and unmatched lyrical skill; Hero5000 is here to the rescue. The Washington, D.C. Metro Area based hip-hop group of Nigerian & Ethiopian heritage, respectively, are here to offer their fresh global perspective on hip hop music.”
These guys are solid rappers! FcDaBlessing is Nigerian while DougieStryfe is from Ethiopia; if they do all the right things as far as promo and strategy, they may be able to penetrate both markets (Nigerian and Ethiopian) to create a serious buzz for themselves in Africa as a whole.
Even the Shayo Remix, as old as it is still sounds lovely!
