This is the track we've been waiting for! For the last 6 months or so, rumors have been circulating that a song of such magnitude was in the works, but there were very few believers. Peeps! The…

As I have said before, notjustOk select is not a Top 10 list of any kind and there is no underlying reason why one song is listed before the other; there is no first or last.

On the 1st of January, 2009, Rukus started a trend that has spiralled out of control - with possibly 30 artistes following suit (…and the number’s still growing). It’s well-documented that he’s officially the FIRST rapper to drop a freestyle on the famous Gbono Feli Instrumental (God bless Don Baba J).
Rukus has already finalised plans to release an EP before the end of this month, and he says he’ll hit us with a new song every week till then.
If you’re not a “rapjunkie”, don’t even bother pushing the play button. This is realness. Naija boys are not playin’ anymore!
Wuddy B is a Warri boy (Area!) from Delta state. His work has been featured on the site before, so it is safe to call this a follow up track.
The song basically focuses on a young lady that has enough Paro(s) in different towns. It is a good R&B type song; you may just catch yourself bobbing head while listening.
Kode is another act from Bariga (the same town that brought us 9ice, ID Cabasa and Dj Zeez).
This is a good debut single, it has a slow feel to it (think ‘Kinda Life’ by 9ice), but the lyrics will make you attentive if you understand Yoruba. Da Grin delivers as usual.
On a side note, it appears that artistes from Bariga are exceptionally good at singing good and catchy hooks in Yoruba.
This is the track we’ve been waiting for! For the last 6 months or so, rumors have been circulating that a song of such magnitude was in the works, but there were very few believers. Peeps! The joint is here, and I must say it was worth the wait.
