Chelle – Till We Meet

Posted on May 1st, 2009 by Mola OG

Chelle is a Nigerian singer who hails from New York.  I believe she calls her style African Pop.

Here is her first ever single which I feel is a decent and simple song. She is currently working on her official single called ‘Opon Ti Sun‘… Let me know what you think.

Produced by MicTunes (’No Shaking‘ and ‘Cant do without you by Tuface)

I like the way this song started nice chorus but the verses sound like there is no life no emotions just there. I think she still needs to work on her voice. It’s not bad for a first. I believe she can improve if she works harder on her voice. It’s all good anyways.

LOL…i actually like this song, but at the same time, i also agree with you guys…too much harmonizing too early and the hooks a bit corny. Can’t really see myself jumping up in the club to dance to this. Room for improvement, but at least no Autotune thank god. Take heart girl, you’re on the right track.

A lot of room for improvement. I can picture a few ppl that would tear up this beat, but I would not mention names. I would try to resist saying that such a good beat went to waste.
Too much harmonizing on the song. I would rather enjoy a singers voice than have harmony all around the place (which is better than atuotune any day). Sounds like she’s singing from her throat. She’s got a good voice, but I know she can improve.

production is not only about instrumentation only…..directing da vocal delivery as well….it involves timing da vocal wit da beat…..and dropping a memorable hook dat is not cliche like “till we meet again”…..and am not crazy about da instrumentation either……

@chelle….she’s done a good job…..i believe dis is da beginning……and no time spent in da studio is a waste……u got to keep experimenting till u find your comfort zone…I mean da right vocal note and delivery technique….

its my candid opinnion…..and it doesnt really matter, anyway….

keep repping, chelle….

I like the song and wish her the best. Would like to hear more from her to really get a feel for who she is as an artist though.

I don’t think it’s da productions! Production Sounds good… I think it’s okay overall just needs to experiment with her voice a lil bit more!!

Chelle sounds like she is not very confident in her vocal abilities. She is putting out work that is at best a 2 when her voice, even at such an early stage, can and is an 8, on a scale of 1-10 that is.

Let the passion and strength flow woman. Sing like you really LOVE that man. Sing like you truly waiting to meet him again. Make us feel that you TRULY love him. Common na sis’ you got it!

Cheers,
Uduak
