I don’t have much information on D.I.S GUISE other than the I Am DaGrin tribute song he created after DaGrin passed away. Here is another track from him which is the lead single off his upcoming mixtape.
His style is a bit different in a good way. What do you think?

Here’s a pair of new singles from R ‘n’ B singer, Michael Word. He’s currently signed to RMG Records, a label spearheaded by Ayo Shonaiya, CEO of the R70 World Group.
Michael Word first caught our attention when he was featured on eLDee’s “Na You” song off the “Is It Ur Money Vol 1″ album. We also gave you guys his very first video for the single “Ose” and then posted his public performance with 9ice, Terry G and Puffy T in London. He’s back on familiar territory with “Do It For Love”, an R n B/pop tune with beautiful harmonization, and “Story Dey” which has more of that “naija flavour” in it. I’ve been a fan of this guy since Day 1, and I do believe he has loads of potential to hit it big.
The video for “Do It For Love” will be released very soon. Listen to both songs and share your thoughts…

Listen to this beautiful piece of art from Soulful Singer, Timi Dakolo and rapper Rilwan titled “Cry For You.” There is a storyline behind this song. Aparently, it was engineered by two brothers Charles and Elvis Okpaleke in honour of their father, Late Mazi Julian Okpaleke.
According to Bellanaija, both artistes are friends of the bereaved family, and so they decided to record the track. The fact that this song is inspired by the loss of someone so dear in real life gives it a whole new dimension and depth. I’m absolutely loving it, albeit with a heavy heart.

Rapper-cum-singer, OBjazz, re-enters the notjustOk radar with 2 new singles “Kilo De” and “Be Mine”. On these 2 joints, we see marked improvement in his rapping (no one ever doubted his vocal ability for a second), and the solid production enhances the appeal of both tracks.
It’s really hard to tell which is OBjazz’s strongest skill (singing or rapping). If he can continue blending both as well as he’s currently doing, he’ll be one to watch out for. What do you think?

Here are 2 joints from UK based rapper, EL Flaco who is getting ready to release his first body of work, “The 9 Wonders EP”. I will say that Flaco is a good rapper who is interesting to listen to. He has catchy flows and also makes sense as you listen.
‘Go Flaco’ is the 1st single off his upcoming EP and a video has been shot for it as well – See the “Behind The Scenes” video below. ‘Cuz I’m African’ is another track that he made which may not make the EP, but is a good listen. Definitely want to hear more from Flaco.

The original version of this song is what brought YQ and even the late DaGrin to the lime light. Their innovative collaboration kept this song banging in people’s CDs for a while. If you watched the video for ‘Efimile‘, you saw the hunger in the young YQ during his performance and his eager anticipation to blow. Now, he has reached a respectable status in the music industry and is getting ready to drop his much anticipated ‘I AM YQ’ album under 2Koncept/Storm 360 on ground in Nigeria this weekend and online (notjustOk.com) on Monday Morning. I can personally say that I have seen YQ evolve into a stronger and more mature artiste.
As you can see, this remix here is packed with big names so you should only expect a big Tune! Listen and share your thoughts.

Mode Nine, our Naija Hiphop legend is working on a collaborative album with South African producer Alias called ‘Pay AtTENtion’. The 10 track album is set to be released on 10/10/10 and as earlier mentioned is titled Pay atTENtion get it?
Mode Nine refuses to water down his hiphop; this man is a purist and I can respect him for standing for authentic hiphop. He talks about his history of hiphop on this joint!
