The original version of this song is what brought YQ and even the late DaGrin to the lime light. Their innovative collaboration kept this song banging in people’s CDs for a while. If you watched the video for ‘Efimile‘, you saw the hunger in the young YQ during his performance and his eager anticipation to blow. Now, he has reached a respectable status in the music industry and is getting ready to drop his much anticipated ‘I AM YQ’ album under 2Koncept/Storm 360 on ground in Nigeria this weekend and online (notjustOk.com) on Monday Morning. I can personally say that I have seen YQ evolve into a stronger and more mature artiste.
As you can see, this remix here is packed with big names so you should only expect a big Tune! Listen and share your thoughts.

The video for eLDee’s hit single “Ota Mi” featuring LKT is finally out!
As usual, the ubertalented eLDee brings forth a critically-acclaimed self-produced tune off the “Is It Ur Money Vol 1” album (which you can buy right here on the site), and caps it off with a pretty impressive self-directed video. I’ll definitely watch this over and over again. Please, share your reviews.

eLDee has decided to give out 3 songs off his recently released “is It Your Money” album.
As you may know, he has also been constantly working on the production side (Goldie – You know it, LKT – Bamijo, Sauce Kid – Sinzu is Sinzu) and doing collabos (UE – Cuz I say so, Bigz – Omo Naija) which may almost categorize him as the most hardworking man in the industry right now.
Expect videos for ‘Ota Mi‘ and ‘U Blow my Mind‘ which are already ready to go and will be released soon. In addition, the video-shoot for ‘Respect Me‘ was wrapped up with Clarence Peters behind the camera on location in New York City a few weeks ago.

When we put up the Suggestion post in June, some of you suggested that we give you guys more stuff that bring fans closer to their favorite artistes. This video right here is as natural (and goofy) as it gets.
M.I, Jesse Jagz and Ice Prince teamed up with Banky W to form what I’d like to call the Choc Street Boys (boyband toh bad!) in this video recorded on a camera phone. eLDee was the talent scout from a record label. Watch and enjoy!
*O.O*
In related news, expect a new single from Ice Prince very soon. Also, M.I 2 now has a tentative release date of November 6th, 2010.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SINZUUUU!!!!!!
It goes without saying that Sauce Kid is Nigeria’s BEST rapper without an album to his name, and one of the very best when compared to the other big names in our industry. With the release of a mixtape and a few singles in the last couple of years, he’s graced the covers of magazines, stormed the charts, and lit up club scenes from Lagos all the way to Abuja down to Benin. Now, the long-awaited debut album titled “African American” will FINALLY be released under Storm Records on the 30th of July, 2010!
The song, “Sinzu is Sinzu”, which was meant for a birthday release, “accidentally” leaked on a few sites over the weekend. However, this Funky House version online will NOT appear on the final cut (the beat is different).
I’ve had the privilege of listening to the album in its entirety, and I’ll tell you guys one thing: it’s TOTALLY worth the wait! Whether you’re a raphead, a party animal or just the “listening” type, you’ll find something in there that will appeal to you. Mark your calendar, guys! July 30th will be here in no time!

African American Album Cover

As a reminder, the release of the African American album will be quickly followed by a mixtape drop titled “Da RipOff”. That’s not the end; a 3 volume mixtape is also in the works. Its title will be announced at a later date. Stay with us.

Check out the video for Goldie’s new single with red-hot artiste eLDee which we leaked sometime in April. Once again, Kenny Ogungbe is showing that extra-commitment towards the growth of his artistes by appearing in the video.
Produced by eLDee.

As a follow-up to the success of “Ota Mi”, Yoruba-speaking/fuji artiste LKT has teamed up with eLDee again on this new party joint titled “Bamijo.” I see this making a straight entrance into the clubs and mixtapes.
Word is that LKT is working on FINALLY releasing an album. There’s no set date yet, but we’ll keep you guys posted.

Here is the first official video from eLDee the Don’s ‘is It your Money Vol1′ Album. For those of us that copped the album, it was track 8 off the album where he addresses a number of issues including lack of accountability from our leaders, lack of constanct electricity in Nigeria and more. He definitely feels strongly about the overall lack in Nigeria; definitely gives one something to think about on how each of us can help improve the situation in our country.
The video features over 15 celebrity artists from Nigeria
“One day One day e go better for Naija.. Light go de”
If you have not purchased the ‘is It your Money Vol1′ Album, do so now!
Video quality is top notch.

Upper Echelon (UE) is a 2 man rap group made up of Caliph and Tunde from New York. They get some assistance from eLDee the don on this track who reminds us what he is capable of as a rapper (multi-talented).
Good rap joint and catchy hook.

As posted earlier by Mola, several Nigerian stars got together to record a tribute song for the late rap king, DaGrin. This is the video for that single. Man, it still hurts everytime I see DaGrin’s face or hear his voice. The pain is still there. Na wa oh!
R.I.P. Akogun!
Directed by DJ Tee.
