The original version of this song is what brought YQ and even the late DaGrin to the lime light. Their innovative collaboration kept this song banging in people’s CDs for a while. If you watched the video for ‘Efimile‘, you saw the hunger in the young YQ during his performance and his eager anticipation to blow. Now, he has reached a respectable status in the music industry and is getting ready to drop his much anticipated ‘I AM YQ’ album under 2Koncept/Storm 360 on ground in Nigeria this weekend and online (notjustOk.com) on Monday Morning. I can personally say that I have seen YQ evolve into a stronger and more mature artiste.
As you can see, this remix here is packed with big names so you should only expect a big Tune! Listen and share your thoughts.

Kennis Music recording Gospel artiste, Kenny Saint Brown, recently released her new album “Turn Around” and this is the latest single off the drop. Her biggest hit till date has been the “Turn Me Around” single with DaGrin (RIP). On this new single “Alaye”, she brings along Hotshot rapper Ice Prince who does some damage in a way only he can.
Only time will tell if this song can attain that “hit” status. Considering the quality of the tune and the video (everyone looked like they enjoyed being in it) as well as the promo machine that is Kennis Music, I wouldn’t bet against it.
Crazy joint, impressive video! Enjoy.
Director: DJ Tee.
Producer: E-Kelly.

Check out this new joint from Ice Prince, Muna, Murder Ace, J. Berg, Ex-O and the super-hot model/femcee Muna. This collaborative effort will appear on the BeatBoxx Entertainment mixtape titled “Wan Test Us”.
It’s nice to witness the ever-growing trend of multiple-artiste collaborations in Nigeria. It only shows that the industry is united and Rap music is growing.

Check out a new joint from Omo Akin alongside Dotstar, Shadow D Don, Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz titled “Ta Lo Sobe”. If you recall, sometime in June, Mola posted a video of Jesse Jagz making a beat for Omo Akin. Apparently, he’s been working very closely with dem Choc Boiz and the 2 songs below are 2 of a few outcomes.
Peep them below!

When we put up the Suggestion post in June, some of you suggested that we give you guys more stuff that bring fans closer to their favorite artistes. This video right here is as natural (and goofy) as it gets.
M.I, Jesse Jagz and Ice Prince teamed up with Banky W to form what I’d like to call the Choc Street Boys (boyband toh bad!) in this video recorded on a camera phone. eLDee was the talent scout from a record label. Watch and enjoy!
*O.O*
In related news, expect a new single from Ice Prince very soon. Also, M.I 2 now has a tentative release date of November 6th, 2010.

Anyone who is anyone in the Nigerian music industry knows and respects Jamix! He is one of the craziest producers in Lagos but not as visible as the common names. His productions include Styl-Plus’s “Always on my mind,” ModeNine’s “Nigerian Girls,” Faze’s “Kolomental”, most of OverDose’s songs, and several others.
In 2009, he stepped out with one of the heaviest collaborations of the year featuring M.I, Terry G and 9ice” on the hit single “Omo Naija.” Now he has released his debut album as a Producer titled “The Lecture.” It’s a very juicy compilation with features from the likes of Kel, Ice Prince, Wizkid (on “My Party”, which you can hear below), among other known names. You definitely need to own a copy as a music lover. For those in Nigeria, look out for it on the streets. For the rest of us abroad, NJO is currently working on getting it on the notjustOk Shop for your consumption. We’ll update you guys on that. Stay with us… as always!

The Choc Boiz are back in the building… and in full force!
As previously-posted, Nobody Test Me is the last song which was recorded and added to Jesse Jagz’ new album “Jag of all Tradez” (which you can PURCHASE here on the site). Word is that it was recorded as a response to Kelly Hansome and other “up & coming” artistes “coming up quick” who may have taken shots at the Choc Boiz.
This gritty video shot by… who else… Clarence Peters could possibly re-ignite the beef trend in Nigeria. I expect more and more shots from other rappers. Brace yourselves for war!!!
Only one Kelly that I know…. Kelly Rowland!

Airis obviously makes the kind of music that she wants to make and she happens to be good at it. In 2009 she moved back to Nigeria from the U.S. to pursue her music career and initially worked closely with Trybe records. Currently, she is working on her debut album which has a tentative released date of 11/11/10 under her own Airis music label.
Airis’ lead single, ‘Without You‘ is a slow paced but catchy song; the kind of song you will put on repeat upon first listen. ‘Sick in Love‘ has a modern 1980s pop/dance sound and you can hear that she was influenced by that era. Ice Prince adds his playful flow to the track as he spits lines like ‘but I’ma let the ego Go Go Go… ‘ Airis also goes in on the dance track, ‘Fly Away‘ which was produced by IKON.
Her video for Without You, which should be out soon, was shot on location in Miami, FL and directed by award winning director Adam Rush.

Producer extra-ordinaire and J-Town Ambassador, Jesse Jagz, has finally released his long-anticipated debut album titled “Jag of all Trades” on the streets of Nigeria; official release date set at April 19th. We’re yet to verify the exact amount of albums sold from Alaba so far, but we hear that everything printed was sold out on the first day.
“Jag of all Trades” is 19 tracks deep and it features a few notable names, mostly linked with the Choc City Crew. “Jargo” featuring Jesse’s alter-ego, Jago (his nickname), is his next single off the album. Here, he mixes English, Hausa and another Hindu-sounding language. Heavy tune in my book.

…And now to the real deal most fans have been waiting for, M.I has responded to Kelly Hansome’s diss on “Catch Me If You Can.” From what we hear, “Jag of all trades” was originally billed to drop sometime during the April 12th week, but it was “mysteriously” pushed further by one week after we released Kelly’s diss track aimed at M.I and Chocolate City on the 12th. Our VERY VERY CONCRETE sources also tell us the song below, Nobody Test Me, was added to the album right before printing the first batch of copies on the 18th of April. What’s more?? The Choc Boiz have made a statement through this song that they’re ready to eat up any beef laid on their table.
Aight, I’m talking too much. To hear the full song, go cop “Jag of all Trades” on the streets right now!!! And for the “unfortunate few” abroad, we’ll be making it available for purchase right here on notjustOk.com very soon. Be patient.
