“Laaaaaaaaadies,” sang Paul Okoye. “I say Laaaaaadies,” he teased even further. An unending “Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!” giant screams was the response from the crowd full of P-Square female fans. Savoring every moment and gleefully showing the ladies a foretaste of what was to come, Paul teased even further. “I say laaaaaadies, who wants to marry my brother?” he sang. You could hear the fellas in the crowd chuckle while even louder giant screams of excitement emerged from the ladies; greeting the ears of all at the Oakland historical Sweet Ballroom where P-Square was performing on July 9th, 2010.
STOP. While it is sweet to take you through the reactions and details of the overall event and audience when P-Square performed in Oakland as part of their USA tour, the sweeter thing is to share with you what P-Square had to say about being millionaires and their secrets to success. As Ovie O would say, this is “NotJustOk.com on another level.” My exclusive interview was conducted in a super relaxed setting at the Oakland Marriott Hotel in P-Square’s suite. Special thanks to Joy Tongo (JTON Productions) and Adewole Lipede (Back Home Productions) for making sure I was taken care of.
Peter Okoye was the spokesperson for the evening.

Over the July 4th Independence weekend, Nigeria’s biggest acts thrilled fans across several cities in the United States. M.I performed at the Nigerian Reunion in New York, 2face performed in Chicago, D’Banj, Wande Coal and other Mo Hits stars were in the DMV area while P-Square kicked off their US tour in Houston.
You can watch 2 clips of P-Square’s Houston performance below. I gotta commend P-Square for hitting the stage with a LIVE BAND. It’s the hardest thing to do as a performing artiste. I heard it was madd!

“NAIJA LET’S GO!” was the patriotic shout Adewole (Wole) Lipede of Backhome Productions gave at Boulevard 3 as he matched about six of us Nigerians, VIP, into the BET 2010 Ludacris and Neo after party. Indeed it was a Naija dominated weekend in the international category at the 2010 BET Awards show.“We might not have scored at the World Cup. But we scored big at the BET Awards,” was how Paul Okoye of P-Square put it to Notjustok.com.

This past Sunday (June 27, 2010), the BET awards went down in Los Angeles California. Two of Nigeria’s finest, P Square and M.I were nominated for the Best International Act and both present at the award show.
Unfortunately, their category was not presented live but the winner (Dizzee Rascal) was announced online about half an hour after the show was over. I was quite pissed off that BET decided to skip this category on the live broadcast. I mean these artistes traveled a great distance to show up at the awards. Anyway, I hope the twins and Mr Incredible made as much contacts as they planned to.
In the video below, Nick Cannon of Dummer Boy Drum Line and Wild ‘N Out fame caught up with P Square, M.I and Kojo on the red carpet.
This is for all of you out in Naija who were not able to watch the pre-award show. Enjoy!
The lovely Ms. Uduak was also present at the award show and has inside gist on what went down behind the scenes. Watch out for her article and pictures here on notjustok.com soon.

Our favorite “Boy-Band” is back on the scene. This is the 3rd video off the “Danger” album by P-Square, featuring Jay Martins, who produced the joint. The twins have a mission to stay on top of the African charts… and judging by the quality of the video and the song itself, I don’t see them relinquishing that crown anytime soon. Enjoy!
**UPDATE**
The video for Possibility ft 2face, which is a fan favorite, was shot in South Africa on the 4th of May. It will be released soon.

Here’s another edition of the Select-10s. The month of September brought alot of controversy, as well as the emergence of some talented US and UK-based Naija artistes. Their dominance on the list shows evidence of growth in the industry in diaspora. Will we eventually have a competitive music market outside the shores of Nigeria? Only time will tell. Till then, help yourselves with a free download below.
Once again, we take pains to stress the fact that the notjustOk select is not a Top 10 list of any kind and there is no underlying reason why one song is listed before the other; there is no first or last.
notjustOk Select – 10 is a list of ten songs/posts that have made a major impact on the listeners/readers in a given month. Several factors come into determining how big of an impact a single post made in a given month, such as page views, record breaking amount of comments and constant mp3 request for the specific song. In addition to spotlighting the select 10s, we will provide a DOWNLOAD link so that you can save the mp3s.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY NIGERIA!!! from the notjustOK Family!
This is the hardest notjustOk Select – 10 I have had to put together; the month of August was filled with just too many exciting bangers.
For the sake of the users with slow internet connection in Nigeria, we have given the opportunity to download individual songs by clicking on the ‘Download‘ link beside one of the ten posts listed below. Also, you should not have any issues with viruses this time since we are no longer using Sharebee for the download links so don’t be afraid to click; or just buy an Anti-virus software damn it!

P-Square’s album is OUT!!! The new cd titled “Danger” was released this weekend amid reports that the international duo had sold the album rights to Alaba marketers for a reported fee of 50million Naira; a recent trend aimed at curbing piracy in the very notorious Alaba market.
Been jamming it since yesterday, and I gotta say it’s very very good. P-Square delivers yet again!
Africa! Are you ready?

Okay… so… in a quick-fire move by P-Square ( to save the song from total destruction.
), the video has been released! Do you like the song better now? Your thoughts…
