Another month has moved on and here is a new set of DOWNLOADABLE music as promised every month. January was another month full of new releases. One of the highlights of January was the BIG dialogue on the ‘Maga No Need Pay’ song; a lot of emotions were stirred up due to that song alone.
Say hello to March as you Download. The Download Links will be up for 3 days only, so hurry and click on the Download Link!
notjustOk select is not a Top 10 list of any kind and there is no underlying reason why one song is listed before the other; there is no first or last.
notjustOk Select – 10 is a list of ten songs/posts that have made a major impact on the listeners/readers in a given month. Several factors come into determining how big of an impact a single post made in a given month, such as page views, record breaking amount of comments and constant mp3 request for the specific song. In addition to spotlighting the select 10s, we will provide a DOWNLOAD link so that you can save the mp3s.
The download link will be up for 3 DAYS ONLY! after which it will be deleted/deactivated!
notjustOk hype will feature (or may be not) the future heavy hitters
in naija music. Any material featured in this category will be from
unsigned or up & coming Nigerian/African, artists/rappers/producer/record label that
contain nothing but promising content. There will only be a post a
month in this category.
If you have or know of anyone’s music that you feel is a hit or any good, please send an email to the official notjustOk email with a link to their page or where I can download the song.
Mark your calendars!!!The W Experience drops on Monday December 14th!!!
For those who have been under a rock, and didn’t know, the release of the most anticipated R & B album of 2009 is only 3 DAYS AWAY! And it will be made available for immediate purchase right here on notjustOk.com starting at 12:01AM on Monday. Meanwhile, treat yourselves to the latest bout of leaks off the album.
The Lagos Party Remix features some of the major players in the industry: Naeto C, D’Banj, Muna, 9ice, and eLDee! (I doesn’t get much bigger, does it?). A killah track, if you ask me. Tanker features Wizkid, one of the most promising acts in the industry, and it’s also produced by K-Solo, a Super-Producer in that specific genre.
Ok, so I’ve heard the album in its entirety, and I can tell you every track is single-worthy. Heavy is an understatement!
*O.O*
Lagos Party Remix ft Naeto C, D’Banj, 9ice, eLDee and Muna.
Mr Capable has come back with 2 new mellow bangers in preparation for his next album, ‘The W Experience‘. I have heard 4 songs (Strong Ting and Lagos Party) from the new album and I am sure (after listening) that you will agree that all four are SINGLE worthy. ‘Lagos Party‘ video was shot about 2 weeks ago somewhere in Lekki and should be released soon.
Banky W appears to be on a mission to completely step up the standards on what a Naija artist should deliver holistically. From his video for ‘Strong Ting’ to the caliber of music we have experienced thus far from this new album, it is safe to say that Banky W will be a very strong brand in 2010, all things being equal.
Omoge You Too Muchft WizKid (Produced by ID Cabasa)
Thief My Kele ft Oladele & Waje (Produced by Dr. Frabz)
Teeto has to be one of the most versatile rappers out there. He gives us some ‘Patois Stuvs’ on this song and still goes hard along side Wizkid who is not new to this style. The video for Oshamo will be premiered later on this month on notjustOk.com; watch for it!
On a side note, Teeto and Vector who are both UNILAG alumni are working on a mixtape together as we speak.
